Area Softball Teams Plan For Regionals

The road back to the state softball tournament for Ottumwa High goes through Muscatine.

The Bulldog softball team earned a #2 seed in Class 5A, Region 5, and will play at home on July 12th in the regional semifinals against Iowa City High.  A win would send OHS to the regional championship on July 15th in Muscatine.

On the other side of Ottumwa’s bracket, Bettendorf and Burlington will play an opening-round game on July 10th, with the winner playing at top-seeded Muscatine on July 12th.  If Muscatine wins that game, they would host the regional championship.  If Muscatine is upset, the regional title game would still be played on Muscatine’s field.
