A new report indicates farmland values in southeast Iowa have slipped.
A new survey conducted by the Iowa Chapter of Realtors Land Institute shows the average value of good farmland declined by 5.4-percent yp 11-thousand, 104 dollars over the past six month.
The report says combined with a 5.4-percent decline with a 1.2-percent increase reported in September indicates a statewide average decline of 4.2-percent for the year running from March of last year to March first of this year.
All nine crop reporting districts posted decreases over the past six months. The districts varied from a 2.1-percent decrease in southwest Iowa to an 8.4 percent decline in southeast Iowa.
