Chef BJ Whitmore

 

 


Chef Benjamin (BJ) Whitmore is a Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation who joined Centerplate in 2006 at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, IA. Chef BJ completed his culinary training at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa in 2001. Upon graduation he gained valuable experience at The Wakonda Club, Des Moines Downtown Marriott and Waterfront Seafood Market. Steadily moving through the kitchen ranks he has excelled in these locations and specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. However, he has worked at several different locations preparing a vast array of international dishes.

Also, this year, chef was awarded a President’s Medallion for his hard work and commitment to culinary activities throughout Iowa at the ACF Regional conference in Milwaukee. This dedication to culinary arts and training new chefs is part of the reason Chef BJ can help make your dining experience at the Bridge View Center something to remember.
