Search Warrants Lead to Arrests

On Thursday, May 8, 2014, officers from the Wapello County Sheriff’s Department, Ottumwa Police Department Emergency Response Team, United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force, executed search warrants at the following residences.

The Vincent Scott residence located at 813 East Finley Ave., Ottumwa.  As a result of the search of Scott’s residence, officers seized items consistent with the distribution of controlled substances and a firearm.

As a result of the Investigation, Vincent Scott, age 54, of 813 E. Finley was arrested and charged with (4) counts of Delivery of Less Than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, all Class “C” Felonies.  Scott was also charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver More Than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony.

The second residence that officers searched was the Kathleen McKeehan residence located at 10679 Miller Chapel Road, Ottumwa.  As a result of the search of McKeehan’s residence, officers seized items consistent with the distribution of controlled substances, cash, and a firearm.

As a result of the investigation, Kathleen McKeehan, age 52, 10679 Miller Chapel Road, Ottumwa, was arrested and charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver More Than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony,  Possession with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, both Class “D” Felonies.
